He makes an excellent, reasonable point. I think piracy isn’t going anywhere and to keep the creations we all love alive, it will take both a progressive attitude from creators and responsibility from readers. If you pirate something and you like it, buy it. And keep buying it. And encourage others to buy it.

National Great Blacks In Wax Museum
Sounds innocent enough, right? Well, don’t miss the “Struggle Against Lynching” exhibit! The first thing you see upon entering is a display of a man who has been hanged and had his penis cut off. At his feet are two cute cats licking up his blood. According to the museum’s information placards, those two kitties were sewn inside his wife’s stomach and bets were taken on which would claw its way out first. The unfortunate wife was burned to death and a dummy representing her is displayed next to the amputee.
Also part of the lynching exhibit: an inner-city alley with various gang-bangers and junkies killing each other, all wearing the latest inner-city fashions, and all with skulls for faces.

“Our house was small, and when you grow up with domestic violence in a confined space you learn to gauge, very precisely, the temperature of situations. I knew exactly when the shouting was done and a hand was about to be raised – I also knew exactly when to insert a small body between the fist and her face, a skill no child should ever have to learn. Curiously, I never felt fear for myself and he never struck me, an odd moral imposition that would not allow him to strike a child. The situation was barely tolerable: I witnessed terrible things, which I knew were wrong, but there was nowhere to go for help. Worse, there were those who condoned the abuse. The truth is my mother did nothing to deserve the violence she endured. She did not provoke my father, and even if she had, violence is an unacceptable way of dealing with conflict. Violence is a choice a man makes and he alone is responsible for it.”
